T.D. Klein is founder and Managing Partner of Legend Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on New Media, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

Mr. Klein’s background includes 20 years of finance and business development experience with companies ranging from startups to multi-billion dollar global enterprises. For the past 14 years, Mr. Klein’ primary focus has been on direct investments in technology.

In February 2005 Mr. Klein launched Legend Ventures I, LP and is responsible for developing the fund’s investment strategy, raising capital, identifying, securing, monitoring and harvesting investments. He is Legend’s board representative for portfolio companies Arxan Technologies, Invoice Insight, and iCreate

Previously, he was a Managing Director at Kinetic Ventures, where led investments in software, telecommunications, and power electronics. He was also the founding chairman and driving force behind Kinetic Ventures' Business Development Group, a program that generated over $100 million of business activity among the funds' porfolio companies and its strategic limited partners.

Mr. Klein has been an active spokesman for the venture capital industry. He has presented at several national and local conferences and has been quoted in the Associated Press, Boston Globe, and Venture Capital Journal. He has also been a featured guest on CNNfn.

Mr. Klein earned an MBA from Harvard University and a BBA with honors from the University of Texas. He is an active member of the Washington, DC chapter of Young Presidents Organization, where he serves on the Executive Committee. He also serves of the Executive Committee of YPO International’s Deal Network. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington as the Chairman of the Development Committee and is also a member of the Center’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Klein is married with four children and lives in Bethesda, Maryland.
